Home News Auto News Honda Malaysia's Hybrid Models Exceed 1,200 Bookings Honda Malaysia's Hybrid Models Exceed 1,200 Bookings Auto News Eric | October 02, 2017 07:25 pm Honda Malaysia has announced that the new Jazz and City Hybrid have collectively recorded 1,200 bookings as of 30 September.The company has managed to hit its combined sales target of 3 months in just 2 months. Bookings for the Honda City and Jazz Hybrid were opened about two months ago. Originally, the sales target was 250 units and 150 units respectively.Looking closer at the figures, the Honda City Hybrid garnered 61% of the total bookings, while the Jazz Hybrid accounted another 39%. Additionally, the new hybrid models are more popular with folks in the central region with a total booking percentage of 53%. To date, Honda Malaysia has sold in excess of 500 units of the new City Hybrid and more than 330 units of the Jazz Hybrid. This has allowed the company to secure its lead position in the below RM200,000 hybrid segment for the past 2 months.Honda Malaysia is the pioneer in introducing hybrid technology in Malaysia back in 2004 with the introduction of the Civic Hybrid. The second generation Civic Hybrid was introduced in 2007.
